Nice to see that a thread about Hancock dying turned into a pissing match and got locked. I don't know why I always hope for a little decorum on threads such as that one, only to be disappointed again. Thanks, guy. Nice job.

    OK.. need advice..

I just got an e-mail about a job interview in the area where Doc and I are moving. The problem? He would need me there early next week. That means all the packing would have to be done in five days. I'd have to go up there on the off shot that I'd get the job and then when I unpacked be pissed because things would not be packed in any decent sort of organization.

He said he'd keep my stuff on file in case they don't find someone the first time around, but that concerns me because school is almost out and I could lose out to a newly graduated kid.

What to do what to do....I'm so torn between being mad if I drove up there a week earlier than planned just to lose out on the job and how bad it is to turn down an interview when I don't have a job there yet.

The job? A courts reporter position that is part-time and pays between $20 and $25,000 per year.

Go do the interview. You can sort out your stuff as you unpack.

Part time and you're getting 20-25K a year? Do it.

You probably don't want to work at a place that can't wait a friggin' week for you to move out there and start. Those seven days won't make or break a damn thing.

    Especially not for $20-25K.

Do the interview. But don't take their bullshit about it.
