Completely off topic here, but I was just flipping through the channels, saw Babu do this, then logged onto SJ and saw this gif. It's the little things in life.

 

Just figured out what YGBFKM means.

 

I remember the day that I first figured it out. Was about 6 months ago.

I also recall the day I realized that Just_An_SID was just that and not Just_An_STD. For many years, that's what my mind saw when he posted.

 

I think I need to make a sock puppet named YGBOYFM, just to see how many people catch the fact it's not YGBFKM.

 

Holy shit, that's funny.

should I be packing right now? Yes. But moving sucks so I'm watching Louie and posting here because that's a hell of a lot better.
Plus evidently all the people I know in this town work 8 jobs and have no time to help me haul a couch down a flight of stairs.
Did I mention moving sucks?
But hey, this time tomorrow I will no longer be a Hoosier.

 

I've decided to get in shape and try to find work as a left-handed knuckleball reliever.

My friend, who played softball through high school, sarcastically said "Yeah, because I didn't work 14 years to get to my best."

The way I figure it, if I work 14 years, I'll be 38 at the beginning of that season at my best. And even if I'm serviceable before then, I can find my way onto a semipro team.

LOOGYs and knuckleballers tend to last longer, so I see no reason I couldn't, in theory, pitch in the majors as a specialist till I'm 45.

 

The Sports and News front page has more locks than the Panama Canal.

 

"Say Something Mean About The Person Above You" seems like a less sustainable thread than its counterpart, if only because meanness requires a degree of intimacy. There are no platitudes of meanness.

 

Jack in the Box is like the Wal-Mart of fast food though.

Sure, McDonald's seems like the easy comparison because of its worldwide dominance and utter market fuckery, but JitB fits it better for one reason - The "God Dammit" test.

When you go to Wal-Mart, do you ever get amped to go or are you ever pleased with your trip? No, it's usually "God dammit, now I have to deal with Wal-Mart."

JitB is the same way. You eat it, and suddenly you think "God dammit, I immediately regret eating the Ultimate Southwestern Nuclear Burger."

At least the D's has fries

 

I am ALWAYS amped to go to Walmart. But I don't have Jack in the Box, so I can't handle that comparison.
