Random Thoughts the Third

Not-so-random thought: Anyone want to meet me in Jamaica Queens on Sunday for about an hour? Need a little help for a story I'm working on plus it would be nice to have an extra body with me at Rochdale Village.

 

I would have, but I had to attend my weekly sunrise Mass, after which I did yoga and finished with a high colonic using Sprite Zero.
The rest of my day was spent volunteering for good causes.

 

It was a good experience. Rochdale isn't what I thought it would be; it was, but there's a lot of heart and soul about the old Jamaica Racetrack.

 

A sure sign of old age:

Outside shooting is your only chance to beat your high-school age son at one-on-one basketball.

Oh, and I'm sore as hell now.

 

Would you rather live in the ascendancy of an empire or during its decline?

There was a German professor years ago who came up with 200 reasons for the fall of the Roman Empire.
Including celibacy and deforestation.
Seems like an easy way to write a book, right?
Just blame any fool thing for the decline?

 

Ascendency. Much better if your children and their kids can have a better life, unlike what is happening with the decline of our own empire.

 

It will be stemmed when the current menace leaves the White House.
Assuming he does.
People will remember what it's like to live in a republic, where the leader is actually trying to strengthen the country.

Sorry for voicing dismay with the destruction of the greatest country ever to exist, the country that has done the most for the most amount of people.
Hey- at least we can talk about colostomy bags.
