I don't think I've ever owned non-used furniture. Like, ever. It has never been in my wheelhouse financially, one of the perils of growing up poor, poor, poor. Even married, I don't think we bought any new furniture; lots of hand-me-downs.

I’ve bought pieces new, but I’m waiting until my son is an age he won’t trash a brand-new couch.

So I’ll be getting a new couch in 2037.

Wife and I bought a new couch when we moved into a bigger house and our little hand-me-down love seat rocker looked pathetic by itself. That would have been 2008. Now, the couch is a shell of itself but we refuse to buy a new one because our dogs and kiddo would make it look awful quickly. So, like Hermes, won't get a new one for at least 7-8 years! LOL

I have been sick all day. I've got a bottle of nighttime severe cold and flu medicine. I'm going to chug about half of it and head to bed. I hope I see Elvis.

It’s very frustrating when you’re going on vacation for two weeks and the garbage pickup is scheduled for the day after you leave.

Late Canadian actor Percy Rodriguez had an awesome run of narrating movie trailers. Mostly schlocky 70s and 80s horror movies like this one:

But occasionally, he'd narrate first-rate movies. I can still remember him bellowing "THE CHINA SYNDROME!"

Two weeks? Tell us your spouse is an attorney without telling us your spouse is an attorney.

Thanks goodness Christmas is over. The number of sale/junk emails I receiver dropped from 25 per hour (legit count) to four all day yesterday.

The petty part of my brain: Do you understand how much broccoli I had to eat and how many miles I had to run to lose 100 pounds and now everybody is going to just use a needle and shed every extra pound?

I hate the trend of air brushing to death portraits.

My kids senior picture will not look like she was generated by an AI.
