I used to use Lynx as my browser. Jeeves didn't mind.

I turned down a chance to use cocaine legally in the U.S. Should have said yes to the offer.

I used to use Yahoo back when its search engine was powered by Google. Then I got smart and cut out the middle man.

I heard a radio commercial yesterday in which a girl asks her grandmother for ice cream. The grandmother rejects her, then the girl starts pouting. So the grandmother explains that ice cream is made from old stuffed animals.

The commercial then cuts to its point, "There's a better way to get your kids to eat right." But, is there?

An older reporter after hanging up the phone this morning: "I just tired to order the DirectTV Sunday Package but I accidentally dialed a sex hotline. A woman with a sultry voice answered and tried to get my credit card information."

If Denzel Washington--who has a journalism degree--pursued a career in that field, he would have been the greatest reporter of all time. Seriously, who could stop Denzel from getting the story?

"Bob Woodward ain't got nothing on me," he would bellow at quivering flacks.

Does any thread on SportsJournalists.com feature more civil and engaged conversation than the "2012 Pro Wrestling Thread"?

The only kind of mustard I have ever eaten is yellow. No dijon; no spicy brown.

Honestly, though, the thing about that thread is it's a bunch of (ex-)media professionals who are passionate about wrestling and want a place to discuss it. It's a big enough group that the conversations are substantive, but it's a small enough group that there are no trolls.

It'd be like a running sports journalism thread on a books website or something. It's a perfect storm.

I used to use Metacrawler for searches. Would turn up like only 15 results for any search.
