I'm a big Costabile fan. Plays a cheery sleazebag so well.

I have had a goatee since the '90s and always will. Right now, I'd probably grow a beard, but my wife hates it. I do grow one each November for a fundraiser at work, and she tolerates it. I get a kick out of seeing how gray it gets year to year.

How I see myself with a beard:

Beards are like out of the norm fashion sense: They are judged entirely by how hot you are.

I have a “Can I pull this off?” meter I refer to and it is my weight at the time.

I just saw a beach house named "Naked Sundays." A car in the driveway has a tag that reads "5 Boys." I wonder if they ever made the connection.

My beard is almost all salt, minimal pepper. That's where most of the white follicles on my head are. I'll stay clean-shaven.

    "Prideful ' doesn't mean 'proud.'

A felon is by definition convicted. " Convicted felon" is a redundancy..

But it’s still fun to say “Donald Trump is a convicted felon.”

I know I’m now middle-aged because I texted my wife to brag I got a $27 ham for $6.50 the week after Thanksgiving.

Went to a memorial service for a friend's mother Saturday. It was interesting to meet the family members my friend had been talking about for years. She's had issues with a sister for a while. But I went - one of two friends of my friend there. Figured there would be more people since her mom passed a month ago. The sister had her daughter's family along. Maybe a dozen people in total. It was at a Methodist church, led by a woman pastor who who looked like she was still in high school. The pastor did a good job with the eulogy given she never met my friend's mom. But it was just one of those awkward things you know? I'd met my friends mom a few times and she was pleasant, though I didn't really get to know her much. Really hard to make small-talk with so few people and knowing only one person there. But like Yogi said - you have to go to people's funerals, so they'll go to yours.
Obviously, I went to support my friend who has helped me through some tough times. But like I said - it seemed kind of awkward for all involved. My friend said none of it likely would have happened if not for the granddaughter organizing everything - I'm guessing she thought it was important for her daughters - which was nice.

I've often written original light verse poems here and they have received zero likes. My guess is people just think they are parody lyrics from a song they don't know....or the poems are terrible. :)

Anyone know a novelist who would be in his 70's, he wrote a lot about doing drugs, and he was from Michigan or there about. I think his first name was Richard.

My take, and advice: It's been a great run for you, but time to move on from
all that stuff. I'd rather see more of your real thoughts and arguments anyway.
