The greatest gift Case has given me is a reintroduction to Bert and Ernie.

    Keep him away from Caillou.

Disney Jr and Nick Jr are your friends, though.

Oh, yes. I saw a commercial the other day that said, "Sometimes Calliou is sad." No, Calliou is sad all the time. He's such a whiny bitch. Max and Ruby suck, too.

But think about all the good times! The 50,000-post Facebook celebration, the Nick Punto encounter, the dogs who were cuter than babies, the :p :-* ;) :D :'(.

    It was a good run.

the CBS affiliate here is guilty of some serious false advertizing. They were promoting a story about a woman who gave her boyfriend "the greatest Valentine's gift ever."
she gave him a kidney and not, as the phrase "greatest Valentine's gift ever" would imply, a threesome with Anne Hathaway.

I imagine that Clint Eastwood sits in his backyard and yells at clouds.

I hope he does. He just reminds me of Grandpa Simpson in the flesh...but more stylish.

I have a client. A very, very dim woman who is taking a million years to get things together and is "amazed at how (I) keep things straight since (her) poor little head is in a tizzy".

Today she sent me an email assuring me that she was getting things together "slowly but surly". This made my day.

Have to admit this quote made me smile. I guess she's not happy about having to get everything together for you. :)

Three words that guarantee a bad day: Autistic toddler haircut.

Rick, this may horrify you but here goes:

When the person trying to cut our toddler son's hair would cajole, bargain, wheedle, it just made the haircut take forever and son was miserable that much longer. My husband unknowingly took the kid to an old-school barber. Barber put son in headlock and was done in five minutes. Actual cut, not buzz.

Plenty of autistic kids freak out about being touched, so this is far from a universal solution. If you think your son might trade contact for brevity, though, it could be worth considering.

IIRC, our son had adapted to haircuts by about age 5 or 6. You'll get there.
