The SquareUp smartphone credit card processor arrived. Works like a charm. Simple.

It makes me a mobile businessman who can take CC payments anywhere I go. We live in wonderful times.

My buddy has that for his fudge bidness. He swiped my card and I got a text from him that said "You paid Ralph $19. Thanks." It also came with a picture of him smiling. Best receipt I've ever gotten from a establishment. LOL

I'm pretty sure pancakes are aware of the time of day. Eat them in the morning, and they supply energy for throughout the day. Eat them at midnight, and you just want to pass out whenever the Veronica Mars episode ends.

Java Monsters are good for making it through the last few hours of 24-hour duty. However, they do have a tendency to make your hands shake if you have too many of them in a short amount of time.

Know why no one buys CDs anymore? It's not just cheaper music on the Internet. It's those damn "grabbers" in the middle that hold the CD in place.

Last few CDs I've bought/received as gifts, those things just would not loosen and give up the CD without a major battle. In one case, I believe I damaged the CD as I bent it severely to get it free.

Solution -- used for the first time on the "Celebration Day" two-CD set I received as a birthday gift -- is the "hammer of the Gods."

Smash that li'l holder with a small hammer blow, and the CD comes out easily.

Analog man, over and out. Back to you, technology whiz kids ...

It's weird to think that it was almost a year ago that I wrote this, a post from a deleted thread that I just happened to think about today for no reason at all:

That thread must have been deleted before I saw the post. I would have remembered something that good.

Sometimes the snark here hurts and I actually take it personally.

Sometimes it's not snark and you should take it personally.

Or in your case, every time.
