Dentist found orthodontist cement on my teeth today, which is funny because my braces came off in '87.

But I have strong teeth and great gums thanks in part to growing up drinking fluoridated California water. Still have all of my wisdom teeth but they aren't causing any problems. Dentist said that it's a bad idea to have wisdom surgery at this age unless there was a severe problem.

    Anyone else have their wisdoms?

Never had mine taken out. Dentist told me the only reason to take them out is when they grow in wrong.

They need to invent a "DVR" for newsroom scanners. That, or just get rid of the over-anxious desker from news that interrupts our conversations at the end of the night to ask if we heard what "they are talking about" when most likely...it's nothing.

So I'm just in a brutal mood yesterday. Not feeling well, under some stress, had an incident with my son that was particularly disheartening. Depression was making it feel like I just had 100-pound weights danging from each of my shoulders, hard to even move.

When I'm in a mood like this, my normal remedy is to put on a funny TV show and do some housecleaning. The combination of feeling like I'm accomplishing something and laughing is a great depression fighter. But I just couldn't think of anything that sounded even remotely appealing to watch.

Suddenly, I get an itch to listen to a song I hadn't heard in years. I don't listen to much music, and the rare song I do like is usually picked up incidentally. This song was the background to an (ancient by internet standards) viral video, and that's all I knew about it. So I looked it up and put it on loop for about 90 minutes. For some reason, it worked and put me in a great mood.
