A question finally answered decades later: The woman who was the roller skater in the video to the Dire Straits song Skateaway was Jayzik Azikiwi. She was 22 when she did the video, and she died at 50 in 2008 in Gambia, where she was a national hero. Her father was once the head of Nigeria. Toro toro, taxi, indeed.

Why would a married woman tell someone, "if I wasn't with my husband, i'd be with you"?

What's the point of telling anyone that?

 

I guess to either make herself happy at your expense, or to allow you to go, "whew!"
