    Moving sucks. 'Nuff said.

A not-so-random thought considering I'm taking a break from packing.

C-Rob, I'll be out that way for quite some time this fall. I'll be in Lawton (God, help me) for a month and a half; then I'll be in San Antonio for about two months.

If no one else comes, we'll get together.

I've been drinking lots of water, as per the Colonix instructions, and it makes me piss like a racehorse. Someone in the office building (we share a bathroom) just took a sitdown and left skid marks around the bowl. Stinky poo. Holding my breath, I start pissing, and it's a long one, bubba, so I made an adventure out of the ordeal and removed the bowl of said skidmarks with the constant stream of urine.

Songbird, you just made the world a better place.

Here on the Great Plains of 'Murrca, the midday sun is melting the snow and ice. Great and small chunks of ice are falling off of trees and poles...walking through town, one hears a steady clatter and occasional crashing sound. The noise is causing the high-strung canines of this humble hamlet to be in a near-constant state of barking freakout. On my stroll back to the office from lunch, it sounded like I was in a kennel at times. Psychological Damage to Stupid Dogs: A Hidden Cost of Winter Weather.

Xan, you're actually doing the Colonix thing?

Please, keep us posted, but sans pics.

Lawton, Okla.? I have a good friend from there.

    I'd so come to a D-FW outing.

On an unrelated note: I'm HOME! In my Austin home, about to go chow in some killer burgers at Hut's.]

On another unrelated note: I'm super excited about seeing OU-Baylor on the tenth in Waco. I am a geek.

I'm pretty far from my old stomping grounds in DFW, but I'd enjoy attending a DFW SportsJournalists.com fest if my schedule allowed. I haven't seen family in a long time and need to go back at some point during 07 anyway.

I'm pretty sure I came home from Christmas with more stuff than I moved down here in the first place. My living room looks like a refugee camp. And it's not all out of the car yet.

I think Leon Russell, aka "The Master of Space and Time," hails from Lawton, Okla.

Is it wrong that I came in, plugged in my laptop and posted on SportsJournalists.com before unpacking the car?

Not at all. I post on SportsJournalists.com while driving.
