Lotta dough. Hope it serves you well.

What's up with all these jewelers using first names?

    • Nina (Manchester, Vermont; the radio commercials are outstanding)
    • Kay

Pullin' an all-nighter at work to make deadline Tuesday easier ...

So I'm looking at a hoops boxscore and the last name of a player on the visiting team is named Linderman. Made me think of Ricky Linderman the overgrown, motorcycle-riding outcast from My Bodyguard. Also stars Matt Dillan. Good flick.

Great film. Whatever happened to that actor? Adam Baldwin, I think. Or for that matter, what happened to anyone in that film other than Dillon? Speaking of Dillon, he has a great turn in "Factotum," a movie about a drunken short story writer based on a Bukowski novel.

Speaking of films, I saw "Little Miss Sunshine" last night. Thought it was pretty damn funny until the girl's routine. Then it became arguably the funniest 10 minutes I've ever seen on film. I laughed so hard I was crying.

Wikipedia lists these foods as aphrodisiacs:
    *eringoes (sea holly?)
    *oysters
    *potatoes
    *spanish fly
    *tomatoes
    *pine nuts
    *truffles

  6. Is that your shopping list? :)

haha! No... a friend said I should eat some oysters. I've never tried them, and was curious why they're aphrodisiacs. So, I was doing some late-night research. Figured it fit in with the "random thoughts thread"

As if you need any. :D

Actually, truffles drive pigs wild, too. And I think pine nuts did it for Euell Gibbons.

Adam Baldwin has been in lots of stuff, but my favorite role of his is Animal Mother in Full Metal Jacket.

"If I'm going to die for a word, that word's going to be pooooontang." And that's not nearly as racy as the line he throws to the black dude when they're trying to score the Vietnamese hooker.
