The first part of your thread is useless without pics. Was Blinky there? And BTW, Double_Down has a thread you really should visit.

Just once I wish Wily Coyote caught the roadrunner and chopped him up.

I never actually did it when I had a dog, but were any of you ever tempted to give your dog a bowl full of beer? Just to see what would happen?

We had a little rat terrier a few years back and I always wondered what a dog was like when they were drunk off their ass.

I had a girlfriend who did that once. Rover, who was a medium-to-large-sized dog, lapped up the beer with apparent relish. He then spent the rest of the evening acting perfectly normal, with no noticable change in motor skills, personality, energy level, etc.

Same thing happened to me when I tried pot in high school. 'Course it may have been oregano.

No, that's common for rookie weed smokers. As a teen, I smoked several times with no effect. I lost interest in it. Then, one evening, I accepted a few tokes as people were passing a joint around as we were getting ready to go to a Ramones concert. Inexplicably, it kicked in a short time after we arrived at the show. I thought the top of my head was going to fly off. Spent the rest of the evening pogo-ing like a lunatic right at the front of the stage right below Joey. Definitely a memorable evening.

Doh. I just showed for a college signing 30 minutes late because ... I thought it was 30 minutes later than it was.

Walk in, say hi to everyone as they look at me funny and offer me a piece of the dwindling supply of cake ... slowly set up my camera as more and more people are leaving ... finally I compile all of my clues and go ask ... "uh, am I way late?"
    "Yeah. It was at 3."

I feel bad. It wasn't a big college or anything, just a little local school, so it wasn't "news" but we like to include that stuff in our small paper, and I never gave this girl all the coverage she deserved. It wasn't even going to be a story -- just a picture. To top it all off, they were just always really, really nice, which is something you don't always encounter. I feel pretty dumb right now.

I've totally missed one once and have been a few minutes late other times, but this is the first time I've really had my nose rubbed in it as I actually got to show up and see everyone still milling around looking at me, I'm sure thinking "what a dumbass". I'm sure it will go away, and I know it's not a very big deal, but for now -- totally dumb.

Don't worry, Pilot. Just ask who took a picture and get it from them.

Signing pictures suck. A picture of the cake remnants would be just as good.

Yeah, I know. It's more the everyone standing around looking at me like I was an idiot than the loss of content. I'm already losing a little of the red in my face, however ... hell, when I go home and slam 14 beers, it'll be totally gone.

My brother gave our 25-pound schnauzer/terrier beer once and all she did was pee a lot and run crazily around the house. He also gave the dog quite a bit of second-hand marijuana smoke, but all the dog did was sleep for like 12 hours.
