I could use a 10-pound puke diet right about now. I've hit the wall at the gym.

Saw the first four episodes of the first, partial season of Grey's Anatomy. Definitely is more personality driven than medical driven, once you get past the first episode, which was more ER Lite. Having Pompeo and Dempsey pretend there's tension is a misstep, since it's obvious they'll hook up and you're left wondering how his attending status and her intern status wouldn't come up on the first night they hooked up. That makes the meet cute in the hospital her first day kinda fraudulent. The two male interns are pretty much lightweights, and Sandra Oh, at least so far from what I have seen is little more than a snark artist. Katherine Hegl is definitely hot, and her character is nicely drawn too. Isiah Washington's character and "the Nazi" are probably the best characters.

Looking at the SportsJournalists.com members page, I noticed slappy and I both registered on the same day -- July 25, 2004.

    This'll inspire you...

There's a developmentally disabled young man who comes into my gym every day to lift.

This'll throw that inspiration into reverse...

All that lifting has made him a quite strong developmentally disabled young man. Which means when he's not lifting, he walks up to everyone who is lifting and yells "I CAN LIFT 125 POUNDS!!!!!!!!!" at the top of his lungs.

Which is both distracting and embarrassing when you're only doing 90 pounds on the weighted sit-ups thingie.

But I bet I can smoke his ass in basketball.

I think a lot of people had to re-registered that day -- Great Crash of 2004 wiped out four or five months' worth of posts, including my first couple hundred.
