    And Lee Child did.

#1 show on Amazon in three days, with Season 2 already approved. I have two episodes left. I like it. It's popcorn, but it's well done.

Good article here, from the author of Lee Child's biography.

Just finished. It was good. Not groundbreaking. Ritchson is oh so fine. So fine. Should be out of his clothes as much as possible. Just fine. We'll watch season 2.

Stephen King interviews Lee Child about Reacher, six years ago. Pretty good.

I just finished it and enjoyed it. I look forward to watching more.
It doesn't make me want to read any of the Reacher novels, but - like the movies - the story is good to watch.

As previously noted, if you like Reacher, read John D. MacDonald's Travis McGee series. It's the archetype for this type of book.
When I said I don't have an interest in reading Reacher, it's all about setting. McGee is mostly set in Florida and around boats. He isn't a vagabond.

I started reading Reacher once. Wasn’t for me, and I was stunned when Cruise was cast. But I’m not a Cruise guy at all.

When reading it, I did find Childs really hammered home the point about how Reacher is basically built like prime DeMarcus Ware. I found this tweet amusing:

I’m enjoying the show, it’s easy to watch.

Points to the comment that Reacher is David Putty. I must say it crossed my mind.

Never read the books. Finished the series a few nights ago. Really liked it. Great action. Very funny.

I finally got around to binging this series. I agree with much of what was written on this thread. I found it entertaining. Ritchson was better than I expected, but my expectations were low.
