Recent celebrity sighting (here's mine, add yours) ...

Kool and the Gang used to stay at my parents' house whenever they were in the area.

 

I've been on an elevator in a hotel with Jamie Lee Curtis, circa 1993. Also, was on a New Year's Eve flight with Farah Fawcett from Houston to Lubbock. I was covering basketball the next day. Not sure what she was doing. But when I landed at 10 p.m. New Year's Eve, the Residence Inn picked me up in limo since there were no rental cars or taxis. The funny thing is Fawcett thought the limo was for her, but she was waiting for a ride when I pulled away. If she were staying at the Residence Inn, she would have welcome to come along. She was weird looking.

 

We have something of a homefield advantage when it comes to celeb sightings but Mrs. Editude was taken the other day when, in line for the restroom at a local cinema, she was standing next to Sarah Michelle Gellar and noticed how fine-boned she is. Short and almost frail, but pretty.

 

There's no way her nose is small, frail or pretty. That monstrous middle septum part haunts me, and I haven't seen her in years.

I only get to see ex-athletes.

 

OK, if I ever shared a elevator/anything with Jamie Lee Curtis I think I would've definitely marked out and not in a good way.

 

Grammy Award-winning songwriter Julie Gold cut in front of me in line at Gray's Papaya.

 

I saw Vinny Lecavalier at a local mall. Talk about drooling all over myself.

 

I didn't know Vinny LeCavalier from a hole in the ground, and after two pictures I decided his neck was too thick.

But then I saw this:



Yowsa.

 

Was nobody at Grant Park last night to stand next to Jesse Jackson or Oprah Winfrey?

 

I was at the Arizona Biltmore covering McCain and at one point was about 5 feet from Hank Williams Jr. Yippee.
