Won't someone think of the BJs? Where are they going to go if we outlaw steak?

I haven't eaten any meat (or fish or poultry) since 1993.

It hasn't gotten in the way of the BJs. Her willingness, on the other hand? For another discussion.

I hope I have eased your fears. :)

How ironic is it that Big Ragu's shortest post of all time turns out to be the one that provides too much information? :)

The Onion always has something relevant for any topic, unsurprising given its Wisconsin roots.

A 10% increased cancer death risk...so it goes from 1% to 1.1% or 10% to 11%, or 90% to 99% or what?? Or how about how old were these red meat eaters when cancer finally ate them back? Wish articles like this would give a little more detail and maybe some context. Just a little. :)

i quit red meat on doctors advice and found it relatively easy. there's a wide world of food out there and a whole lot of ways for it to taste good. after cutting out that one category i certainly don't feel like i'm enjoying food any less.

should be noted: i do allow myself the occasional slice of pepperoni pizza, because its not like i'm allergic. but no burgers, no steaks, no problem.

We've long talked about adding fish to our rotation, but we just don't know what we'd like or how to cook it, so we kind of end up being paralyzed about it.

  10. Then of course there's the fish they recommend you eat only fairly so often because of the mercury content and other chemicals.
DNR folks recommend caution eating fish caught in the Ohio and several other rivers in the country because of this stuff.

    Damned if you do ...
