My wife has informed me of the existence of a Red Robin about 15 minutes from here. A trip is forthcoming, likely tomorrow. I think the Pot Roast burger and A-1 Peppercorn Burger seem like strong possibilities. Are their shakes any good?

Never had a shake. But I will swear by the raspberry limeade. Sweet Jesus.

And they'll give you a 32-ounce cup to go.

I only wish it didn't cost me nearly $60 to take my mom, dad and brother there the other day. $9 burgers plus $4 drinks plus tip...yowsa.

Both the Pot Roast and the Peppercorn are very good, with a slight edge to the Peppercorn.

    Never had their shakes.

Continually reading about these burger joints always drives home the point that I live in a burger dead zone.

I'm going to make a point to hit Red Robin soon. It's been quite a while.

Their shakes are pretty good. They give you a glass full of it and the left over that was made in the metal cup. You get quite a bit of it.

Had the Pot Roast burger and a chocolate malt. The wife had the California Chicken sandwich and a raspberry limeaid. No complaints whatsoever.

Did you try a sip of the limeade? It's god's gift to beverages.

I did, actually. It was magnificent.

Red Robin's website has an area were you can customize your own burger. I created a monstrosity with two patties, three kinds of cheese, onion ring, sauted onions, tortilla strips, egg, bacon, barbecue sauce, lettuce, tomato and chipotle mayo. Naturally, no nutritional information was offered.
