    "Did you do it, bro?"

Man, I know Austin Murphy is a dude (as in a kayaker/surfer/mountain biker) but that was odd to read in the lede.

Odd, perhaps. But conveys the moment well.

I thought his most recent book wasn't that impressive, but if I could swap jobs with an SI writer, I think Austin Murphy might be the guy I chose.

I don't buy it, Idaho. Sure, putting a patch on your scrotum may help you win the Tour de France, but at some point you have to pull it off.

thankfully, scrotum patch removal is something I'm not familiar with.

    A scrotum patch.

Gives fresh meaning to the phrase, "Bagging the race."

Have we ever determined whether he tested for HIGH levels of testosterone or for an incorrect testosterone-epitestosterone ratio, brought about by LOW testosterone levels? Because dude on ESPN and ESPN radio today was insisting it was the levels that were off due to a low testosterone reading.

From Murphy's online update, which is the only place I've seen with a Landis quote:
I'm guessing that infers a HIGH result and the ESPN guy was wrong.

And, for whatever reason, I'm watching a nearly two month old replay of a cycling race in Virginia on OLN.
