Righties, I know, I know. In war, soldiers die.

Wow. I can't wait to read the war plans by Dennis Kucinich, John Kerry and John Murtha. Then after that, I will be eager to read the war plans by Larry, Moe and Curley.

You see, hondo, this is where you just sound silly.

Whatever you think of their politics, Kerry and Murtha are decorated war heroes.

It might behoove you to listen to their thoughts on the matter.

    See what I mean, Lamar?

    "Democrats have no plan!"

"Oh, Democrats do have some plans? What, you expect me to actually read them?"

    Easy living, man. Easy living.

And your last sentence is especially appropriate. Ladies and gentlemen, Larry (Bush), Moe (Bremer) and Curly (Franks), from the June 29, 2003, issue of Time:

We can only presume that Shemp (Rumsfeld) was slipping on a banana peel somewhere.

At least you can read plans and tear them apart but WHAT IS YOUR PLAN to get out of IRAQ?

The neocons are like a two-year old and a fence. Smart enough to put their heads through but no plan to get it out.

The Liberals, moderates and the right-wing nuts (nuke 'em) have offered plans where is yours?

BTW the nuke option is off the table, where would we get all the oil to run our Hummers?

Or, are you suggesting we all sacrifice. well, good for you, we actually agree.

    chirp. chirp.

no plans, I won't read plans. I'll never offer anything but right-wing talking points.

    chirp chirp.

Like W in Vietnam, no action.

Maybe the Barney Fife analogy was a poor one. But at this point, I think we have to assume that our intelligence agencies have failed us twice -- before 9/11 and before the invasion of Iraq. In the Army, we call it defense in depth. EVERYONE has to be proficient at the tasks so operations run smoothly. At this point, none of them are working well. The only thing working well at this point is/are unconventional forces. A six-month flood (let's face it, that's about as long as we can go with this shit) of troops into the worst neighborhoods, doing SOMETHING with al-Sadr (whether it's kill him or ally with him) and giving this piss-poor government and defense force we've propped up time to get on its feet could be the only way to get us out of there and back onto OBL's trail, where we need to be.

And, Lamar, if all you're gonna do is call people names, go have a seat in the corner and let the grown-ups talk.

Edit: Have you served? If not, don't criticize the record of others.

I think that might be the most asinine thing you've ever posted. Contribute something or go away.

    Intelligence: See above

I once had the opportunity to hobnob with a CIA supervisor. His exact words were, "If 100 people were in this room and could speak Arabic languages, I'd give 100 people jobs on the spot."

Billions being poured into Iraq that could be used otherwise: Ditto.

If he did actually contribute something, would any of us notice since he's so damned asinine?

According to the Lefty handbook, if -- after making a good point -- the lefty insults you personally, then you know you've made a good point.

Where, pray tell, in that sentence does the poster suggest that it's solely a "local police issue?"

So, Henry, how's that search coming for all those liberals who said that tens of thousands of soldiers would die before Saddam was captured?
