Well, that partly explains it ... I like "Mob Wives," "GCB" and "Smash" too. And was sad to see the end of "Housewives" last night.

Buddha. A shortened season isn't anything to be excited about. It's filler until the next great pilot comes along. Writers are aware of what's happening. Look at the Parks and Rec season finale, they wrote it as if it was a series finale just to be safe. Scrubs season eight did the same thing.

But they're not "gone." Which was your point.

Or does "gone" mean "not as much as I'd like" now?

30 Rock is gone. Fall season, then closing the doors. Everything is finalized. Technically, for the season, it and Community aren't done for the year, so I suppose we have another week or so. I gotcha there.

Everything isn't finalized. I think it's probably a safe bet that 30 Rock and Community are done after next season, but that's not set in stone yet.

Parks and Rec got a 22-episode order.

Agreed on flash-back episode. Still, the show tips its pitches. It's hard to get invested in the characters when the writers saddle them with dialogue that sounds really good, but reveals nothing about them.
Hell, I knew it was the v.p's chief of staff in the first episode, before I even knew what he did.

Thank you for reminding me about that video.

Also, schiezainc and Tom Petty can go fuck themselves for this nearly year-old Whitney praise.

I'm sure I've posted this before, but if you're a fan of Gillian Jacobs, see "Choke" where she plays a stripper...

Damn good movie too... Based on one of Palahniuk's more underrated books...

  9. Parks and Recreation renewed for a full season and Community back for a 13-episode run. Some funny moments in Commnity, but the Changnesia storyline just sputtered out. Liked the puppet episode, though.

Parks and Rec remains very strong. I agree about the Changnesia storyline being pretty weak. I wonder if Dan Harmon's departure was the reason for what seemed like a significant dropoff.

Community was dire this season. I'm glad it's back, but only because it's got a chance to go out on a better note than that awful season finale.

I know Chase won't be back, but has anyone else left? Figure they wouldn't do the show without McHale, and Donald Glover's star seems to have dimmed enough that he probably won't leave. Alison Brie? (Lord, I hope not.)

By all reports, everyone else is back.
