RIP Anchor Brewing

    I was hoping to get down to see Murph in Manhattan Beach - he retired at the end of 2022 - but we just couldn’t make it work.

    Man, I used to love ESBs. Haven't had one in forever. Might need to rediscover that style.

    Unlike many of my friends and fellow brewers, I don’t brew beers for competitions. I brew garage beer. That does not include my festbier and ESB. I brew a fucking phenomenal ESB and festbier.

    You should set up a still and brew your version of Blanton’s.

    If I could, I would brew Leinenkugel’s Sunset Wheat with a lot less blueberry. They brought it back last fall as a seasonal flavor and the blueberry in this version was way too strong.

    The best beer is dark beer. Give me a good stout over anything else.
