RIP Andy Russell

    Part of the problem is with multiple receiver sets and various numbers being retired by teams, 80-89 just isn't enough room for all the receivers AND TEs. I know some of the "odd number" things began when players went both ways in college or the pros.

    When Landry was in the USFL, he looked positively ancient. He had a full head of gray hair.

    He also came back for the final regular season game for the ‘84 Bears, which, due to injuries, ended up with that year with five starting QBs and had Walter Payton play QB in relief in one game.
