I just quoted McCain's press secretary. What, did he change his mind?

Nominate. Have token hearings. Vote down no matter what. Move on.

Where does it say that he doesn't have a "right" to nominate someone?

Always love this ... blame the 2000 election on Nader. Like it's his fault Florida had crappy voting equipment, or that Gore was a lousy candidate.

Despite his ineptitude, Al Gore received the most popular votes in 2000, but didn't win the election. Maybe you should blame the electoral college.

What Dick is referring to is that they haven't said he doesn't have the right to nominate. They're saying that he shouldn't.

In other words, they're telling the President of the United States how he should be doing his job.

Doesn't this part prove this part wrong?

Journalists tell people how to do their jobs every day. Why can't members of Congress chime in on what the President should do? If the public disagrees, vote them out.

Or blame Al Gore himself: A sitting Vice President gets nominated during a time of unprecedented peace and prosperity, but DOESN'T win the election? When was the last time that happened?

I get what you're saying (and cool use of color, BTW) ... but the bottom line is, the Dems could have nominated a robot for president and beat G.W. Bush in 2000.

    Oh, wait ...

Hopefully he will behave himself at this state function, unlike the Mandela funeral where he acted like a 14-year-old girl.

That you act like this only ever happens with one party toward the other is highly amusing.
