We should probably wait until the Pope weighs in before deciding if President Obama is a Christian or not.

    From your link:

In spite of the criticism, people close to the Scalia family said Obama was making the right choice. "I wouldn't have expected President Obama to attend the funeral Mass, and I see no reason to fault him for not attending," said Ed Whelan, a former Scalia clerk who now heads the Ethics and Public Policy Center. "The ceremony at the Supreme Court seems the most apt opportunity for the president to pay his respects, but he obviously might have severe competing demands on his time."

Shows how off the rails this thread is that it took a Rainman shot at Obama to get it back on track.

Make sure Ragu is there as well so he can give advice on what you are doing with your savings and 401K contributions.

Would be good to have cranberry on hand to see if your charitable giving is up to snuff as well.

Which is why I was willing to go back to school for a different career after I was dumped by my paper, instead of just sitting around hoping to latch on with another paper. Turned out, that's what ended up happening anyways since the paper offered me first.

Baron may have his flaws, but ripping him for personal decisions such as career and job choice is nothing but petty and reflects a lot worse on the petty than on Baron.

Baron's quick with the mom-sex insults, but needs some backup when the tears start flowing. The Dumbass Defender Squad's sense of decency is a bit off.

The mom-sex insult, of which there was one of them from me, occurred after you poked fun at my kids on multiple occasions.

And I did that one mom-sex insult because you were so hypersensitive about another post in which you put up a picture of a poor redneck family with a pregnant mom and made an eye-rolling joke about the WWE.

In other words, you chose to poke fun at the physical appearance of other people. Which was par for your course, since, as soon as you had started posting on your current handle, you were ripping on practically everyone on here for any post, regardless of political persuasion or background.

So in response to your silly WWE redneck picture post, I responded with an equally silly post by asking you how many months pregnant your mother was with you. A silly joke in response to a silly post, because frankly, I don't give a shit if people poke fun at the WWE or my being a wrestling fan. Shit, look at the wrestling thread, and I poke fun at them too.

Most other people on here with an ounce of maturity, would have taken into context how silly the post was, and the fact that they were the one who started the childish insult barrage to begin with and either laughed at my post, or ignored it, since, after all, we all can assume that wasn't really your mother.

You, on the other hand, went ballistic and started posting threats, and saying that I was racist, homophobic, sexist and a few other things. I challenged you to go find my posts that showed that I was. Just like you've done with the Republican stuff, you've run off every single time that I've challenged you to back up your own words.

If you were THAT upset over the pregnant redneck mother joke that I said, then you should have 1. Not been so quick to poke fun at the woman's appearance to begin with, and 2. Acted mature and politely asked me, either on here or in PM, to not remark about your mother because it's a sensitive issue to you. For any other poster on here, who I respect even though I sure as hell may disagree with them, I would have been more than happy to cease and desist. You, on the other hand, had acted like an ass from the very beginning, but I would have been willing to look the other way on this issue because ultimately, I come here because I enjoy it.

Instead, you chose to escalate the very thing that you started, and then you ran away when challenged.

Now, if you're willing to call a cease-fire on the childish insults and juvenile snark and the personal stuff, I'm willing to do so as well. I'll even stop challenging you on the GOP stuff, even though it's a legitimate topic and you're the one who challenged me first, if it'll mean relative peace around here. But it's up to you.
