    Imagine Rickles getting away with this line in 2012. But I guess he did ...

    Rickles was still going strong in June 2012 when, during the American Film Institute’s tribute to actress Shirley MacLaine, he joked that he “shouldn’t make fun of the blacks. President Obama is a personal friend of mine. He was over to the house yesterday, but the mop broke.”

    Nobody laughed harder than Frank at the oft-told story of Rickles inviting Sinatra to stop by his table at some restaurant they were at to say hello to his soon-to-be wife and her parents since they were all big fans and then he dismissed Frank by telling him to "fuck off, can't you see we're eating?"
