No, we ended up on a Steely Dan threadjack. You know this place … it’s a miracle we didn’t end up going from Greg Kihn to the number of breadsticks we’ve consumed at Olive Garden.
Possibly approaching triple digits on breadsticks. Zuppa tuscana soup slaps and I don’t care who looks down their nose at me for it.
Haven’t been to an Olive Garden in years, but I do recall the soup was a much better option than the salad.
Most of the time when I go (not that often these days) all I order is the unlimited soup and breadsticks. Plenty substantial for a meal after 2-3 bowls.
Olive Garden dinner with Greg Kihn, Steely Dan and Tone Loc. First topic of discussion over breadsticks? Use of clavinets in music. I'm there for it. Also, I haven't been to Olive Garden more than two or three times ever, and not in a long time at that, but I have to admit, a steak I got there with some sort of Italian rub on it wasn't terrible.
Larry Carlton does great work on Third World Man, which was only released as a backup after the SA erasure I believe. Were You Blind That Day originally. Some demos of other songs in various stages are out there online. I’d like to think there are more that didn’t meet standards still waiting to be heard, but I doubt it. Didn’t SD masters go up in flames in that fire? I can’t remember. Maybe Gary Katz, Donald or some production assistant have some tapes stashed.
Olive Garden is OK...not great, but OK, especially if you get there during their unlimited pasta and breadsticks offer. It's pasta and breadsticks. You can't mess that up.
