    That’s my dad’s age, damn.

I hope he finds his lost shaker of salt.

    RIP.

He's just heading up to San Francisco, for the Labor Day Weekend Show....

One of those people who always seemed to be enjoying life and never had a bad day. Loved his concerts and just knowing someone like him existed in the world.

    RIP.

This is the one I've been dreading and the one that hurts me.
When my father passed away earlier this year after a long illness, my reaction when it happened was "OK." I saw this when I woke up and said "Weeellllll Fuuuuuuuck."
He canceled tour dates last year because of hospitalization. He started touring again this spring, and shows were halted again. He's got new album about to be released. I wonder if there will be some sort of farewell on it because he knew. I hope so.

    RIP, Bubba. Thank you.

Never really got the whole Buffett thing.

Still, he made a lot of people happy, and that's rare enough in this world.

    Rest.

You had to dig awhile beneath the layers of merchandising machinery and tropical cliches, but there was something that spoke to a quiet loneliness even in an extrovert who was the professional life of the party.

Posting this sitting on the beach, fishing, drinking my second beer, and listening to “Incommunicado”
