Do I need it? Not remotely.

Would I use it? Maybe twice a year.

Will I have one by week's end? Definitely.

He probably fought it all the way, then threw in the towel and accepted hospice when all hope was lost.

On a side note, it must be National Cliché Day, because I gave 110 percent there and threw in everything but the kitchen sink.

They are playing his Key West concert from February on Radio Margaritaville right now. Listening now, I think he knew his clock was running out and that’s why he did that show.

I’m sure the new album is it, but you’d like to think as easy as it would be these days he prerecorded some sort of farewell message to be released after his death.

I don't have strong feelings on his music, but I have always liked him for reasons on this thread. He was one of the good ones (how that's for a cliche?). The 60 Minutes piece several years ago was a real eye-opener; quite the work ethic for being the standard-bearer of the take-it-easy lifestyle.

I have a Parrothead uncle who loves him. Has a parrot tattoo on his back and put a mosaic of a parrot on the bottom of his pool. I know he's been to many concerts. I regret never seeing one; we have a tribute act in the region, and they put on a fun show. I can only imagine what the real thing is like.

The tributes have been interesting reads, including this from Sir Paul.

Paul McCartney - It seems that so many wonderful people...

From cookouts to cuisine to concerts, if you're gonna do it right, it's hard work making sure others have a good time.

Holy fuck Van Halen's "Jump" in a commercial for Applebee's boneless wings yeah I begrudge Jimmy Buffett nothing for his marketing

Did Jimmy sell out, or did Jimmy get millions of people to buy in?
