    Gotta say…. walked the beach today for a few hours. Sunset approaching. When the late games got boring, I listened to Son of a Son of a Sailor. Full album.

    It’s perfect. Just perfect.

    $50 could get you in at his most recent shows, Maybe the lawn at a good sized amphitheater.

    That was always the best place to be. I much preferred outdoor shows to indoor.

    When we saw Buffett at Stubb's in Austin in 2015 or so, tickets were $95. They were standing-room only, and there were only about 2,100 sold. That was money well spent.

    Back in the early 2000s, a woman I worked with also worked at the local performing arts center. One day she brought in a catalog with acts, how to book, and costs. We started flipping though and looking at the fees charged for each. Buffett caught my eye. We did the math for seating capacity and figured they'd have to charge about $2K per ticket.
    I said, "So you're telling me we aren't bringing Jimmy Buffett to town."

    You Had To Be There I think is still the quintessential Buffet album. The box set is pretty good too.
