The rabbit incident hurt him more than many people realize. It made him look weak, and that carried on to the campaign against the “virile” manly St. Ron.

A true Christian, in word and deed.

I believe that's board favorite Jerry-atric on the left, though his
whereabouts are unknown today, and he could not be reached to confirm.

IIRC the discussion after Bush Sr.'s funeral, he may have to be invited under protocol.

But think of this: If he hasn't yet, Biden will declare a 30-day period of mourning and all flags must be at half-staff -- including Inauguration Day.

Well fortunately we've learned from those mistakes and will never act that stupidly again.

We kicked serious ass tonight. 12 minutes of relevant Carter coverage — and I had Cosell-level intros but also the freedom to talk about legacy, key moments, etc.

I know TV news is dying but I love it when I get to unload the clip on all my Gen-X history knowledge.

Newspapers are dying too, but some of us older guys know how to “tear up the front page” when there’s an A1 worthy person who died, and I think I did the former president justice with my cover.

At least this time I was just doing page design and I didn’t have to do “man on the street” interviews about Ronald Reagan like I did 20 years ago.

This is what happens when you work on weekends in the news business …

There's nothing quite like doing a job, doing it well and knowing you did it well — a feeling unlike anything else in life, perhaps the closest any of us get to being self-actualized.

    Great job, ex.

We as a nation made fun of Prez Carter for being an honorable man when we collectively were unable to be as honorable as him. We miss you President Carter. May you RIP.
