Not to mention VP Dick Cheney, who no longer has a human heart and is next to immortal.

Carter outlived successor Reagan by 20 years, 207 days. But that isn't the record.

Martin Van Buren outlived William Henry Harrison by 21 years, 111 days.

Clinton's really slimmed down over the past few years, though.

Just learned this today: In a span of 10 weeks in the summer of 1946, three future presidents were born. Clinton is the youngest of the three.
    Trump 6/14/1946
    GW Bush 7/6/1946
    Clinton 8/19/1946

With Clinton's arrival, 14 sitting, former or future presidents were alive. That's 30% of the total of unique people who have held the job.

With Biden you can expand that to 15 as FDR was still alive.

There was a good post-election Tweet that went something like this:

Age of the President in 1997: 51
Age of the President in 2007: 61
Age of the President in 2017: 71
(likely) Age of the President in 2027: 81

That’s because Harrison wanted to show he was a Tippecanoe Tough Guy and kept skipping wearing hats and coats during March weather in D.C. Not exactly the smartest thing to do back in the day when leeches were considered a foremost medical cure.

Those Boomers will NOT give up the keys to the Oval until you pry it from their cold, dead hands.

There were a few GenXs (and even a Millennial or two) in the 2020 primary. And we went ahead and nominated someone who PRE-dates Boomers. And the guy who finished second to him PRE-dates Boomers also.
