    "The man responsible for enabling Sanduskygate is, finally, dead. Good riddance, Joe."

    I'm not in any way rationalizing what CBS Sports did. Not whatsoever.

    The Patriot-News obit was extremely well done. Tremendous job of walking a very fine line.

    Shottie, are you on vacation?

    As a journalist, how are you handling not being in the newsroom right now?

    Great explanation as to what happened. Part of me thinks it must be weird for them knowing that they are part of the story when this is such a huge story, but we all know this had to be explained.

    Very classy.

    I'm with those who favor a split lede or a reference to it in the lede, however vague. The scandal does not define him, but it ends up being a huge event in his life.
