    I don't think the asshole first responders were profiteering. I think the asshole first responders were assholes showing the pics at the bar, sending to friends. If someone has other info that contradicts, please post.

    Regardless, the ghoul first responders weren't punished. One retired early due to stress. Probably took his Calpers annual pension from $110k to $120k per annum with a disability kicker. LA County taxpayers left holding the bag.
