I always thought the spin-off attempt, "A Current Affair," was a bad idea. Murray just didn't carry that show.

    You're welcome:

The scene with Carl Reiner has one of the best four minutes in TV. Two geniuses with impeccable timing.

I agree completely. Saw it just a couple weeks ago, and was helpless with laughter just as I was when I saw it in 196whatever.

Dammit, you stole my line. But I was thinking the same thing. That may have been a gimmick in Richard Diamond, but what a gimmick it was. Wowee wow wow wow.

Here's perhaps the strongest indicator of MTM's brilliance; having watched her through the DVD and MTM shows, then Ordinary People, never noticed her looks. She was just so compelling as a character. I'm truly sad.

Really? You watched Dick Van Dyke show and Mary's own titled show and never noticed her looks? Were you in a monastery that had TV?

Yeah, I seriously was too busy laughing and did not think of her as say if I was watching Racquel Welch or Ann Margaret or Farrah Fawcett.

She had a very plain jane look to her, which was undoubtedly part of her appeal.

I thought there was a striking difference between her DVD look and her MTM look. Much more cosmopolitan.

When it comes to attractiveness, 70s fashion was like playing with a 10-stroke handicap.
