The way this has been trending someone might want to keep close watch on the casts of How I Met Your Mother and The Office

FWIW, xfinity's stream page was putting all its inventory of his shows under a single icon last night.

    Wow. Had no idea.

Used to watch Keith Morrison when he was a local anchor in LA.

I was born within a few weeks of Matthew Perry and have to say that Friends as a TV show never once struck a cord with me as something representing my generation or being particularly funny/smart. I thought that he did light comedy well and certainly seemed like a good person who spoke honestly about his struggles.

I thought Friends mailed it in the last couple years with every cast member firmly plugged into their zone and playing the hits (and for $1 million+ per episode who could blame them), but it was great for most of its run and you could make an argument that Perry was the glue of the ensemble.

Fools Rush In was cookie cutter but one of the better rom-coms.

Yeah, the show premiered when I was a senior in college and it was appointment viewing on Thursday nights before heading out to the bars. His character seemed most like someone I could actually know.

I always identified with his and Joey’s friendship. It reminded me a lot of my best friend and I growing up. He’d be a willing foil for my sarcastic comments and I’d enable his worst tendencies with women.

This story Matthew Perry tells about meeting M Knight Shyamalan is, I think, one of the funniest stories an actor can tell about themselves.
