Boots, given your well-chronicled buttfucking dilemma, I coulda sworn you were in your 20s.

 

We are younger than Peter Boyle and older than the Bush twins.

 

My favorite line from him in "Everybody Loves Raymond" was from the episode where Robert installs a security system. It keeps emitting a high-pitch shrill, and eventually he just rips the face off the keypad, and it finally goes quiet.

Frank looks at Marie and says, "I should've tried this with you a long time ago."

 

I met and chatted with him in the MSG press lounge at a Knicks game several years back... Great guy...

RIP... This totally sucks...

Let me add my RIP to the best part of Everybody Loves Raymond. My favorite Peter Boyle moment, though, is watching the duet with Gene Wilder to "Puttin' On The Ritz," in Young Frankenstein. No matter how often I see it, it still cracks me up. Also enjoyed him in Joe and don't forget Taxi Driver. Truly a marvelous character actor.

And my favorite moment in Raymond was when Deborah's parents were separated but still sleeping together whenever they could with Robert Culp sneaking across the street to see Katherine Helmond in the middle of the night. The next morning, when they were found out, it was Frank with the funny line about the last trip across the street. "That was when I got up to take my third pee."

Never thought Raymond was worth a shit, but I liked Boys and I always loved this line from the Dream Team:

Christ I should have gone to Toronto with my dad. He could have kicked both your asses at the same time!

 

I think Pete would tell all of his mourners these words: "Live each day as though it were your last.... And one day you'll be right!"
