Love that play for so many reasons, only one of which is Randle's act itself:
    1) The way the pitcher and Randle both continue on with the play, by holding the ball and trying to fight his way to first base, respectively, before engaging in the brawl.
    2) The first baseman with the full body tackle on Randle.
    3) The umpires making the call.
    4) The first base umpire literally throwing up his hands to say, "Oh HELL no" and not wanting any part of the fight.

I’ve probably told this here before, but in the early 2000s, Randle lived in our community and ran baseball clinics. He also delivered our biweekly paper.
Our sports guy did a feature on him and turned down my suggested lead of “Lenny Randle used to throw baseballs to Major League stars such as Keith Hernandez. Today he may have thrown this paper in your driveway.”

Not to keep up the Lenny Randle threadjack, but to me this was Lenny at his best.
