McCartney and Dylan would be about the only musician obits that would be a cinch-tight wrap to be on any A1. Jagger would probably be close to ubiquitous. Anyone else? Not as many as we'd expect, I'd imagine.

CNN is showing chopper scenes of the pre-Grammy party she was supposed to have attended. Limos still rolling up. Party going on. Suppose it didn't occur to any of the shallow show-biz types to call off the party?

I was thinking the same thing and it reminded me of why I miss spnited. Phil fucking bald-ass Collins's family hasn't talked about him in the past year as much as we've talked about him in the past hour. And the fucker has three families.

Guys, I know we love Moddy, but I don't think he'd be A1 for the NYT.

(really hoping at least a couple people get this)

Well, since it was a party for and by Clive Davis, who was Whitney's mentor, he probably turned into a wake/memorial for her.

As far as pop artists in the 80's goes:
    1. Michael
    2. Prince

That is becoming the laziest line in journalism. The honey badger video elicited a flood of reaction on social media. A buzzer-beater elicits a flood of reaction on social media. A decent sale at Target almost does. It's an effing given nowadays.

Now excuse me, I want to find more reaction from Sharpton.

Maybe if he died within a year or two of the Diana funeral.

Studied? Like you've taken classes or approached it in some scientific manner?

I myself am awaiting Jesse Jackson's response.
