You're right, CB. Quite right. Her daughter is a casualty in this.

Take note that I'm not registering sympathy. Grief, yes. Grief for a sad situation.

Whitney's version came 10 days after the start of Desert Storm. It had to be perfectly crafted for the television audience watching at home. No errant microphone was going to ruin that carefully crafted display.

Speaking of her daughter, I found this video earlier today -- Bobbi Kristina covering Adele. Sounds like she inherited some of her mother's gift:

Is Michael Strahan her dad? Jesus.

But yeah, not bad. Not Whitney, but not bad. I'd love to sing that well!

I feel smarmy, but ... there are young women without that kind of bloodline on YouTube every day turning out better renditions than that.

TMZ says the cops recovered six bottles of Xanax from the room. No other substances, LA Sherrifs going with a drug overdose mixed with booze as a cause of death. Loss of her legendary voice and potential suicide by recreational drugs? http://www.tmz.com/2012/02/12/whitney-houston-autopsy/#.TzdQjoDEot0

Yeah it was a decent rendition, I guess. Like IJAG said, I wish I could sing even that well. But Bobbi Kristina may have a little more Brown than Houston in those pipes.

Jesus Christ. TMZ reporting Bobbi Kristina was just rushed to the hospital. No details yet...

Yeah, saw that when I googled her to make sure it was her in that video. Didn't remember seeing a gap like that.

Not really, The Clive Davis Grammy party that night was Whitney's big coming out to the music biz, and her loss of voice was evident in the last few years. Why would she want to live out her senior years not being able to do what she was famous for in the beginning and broke/hooked on/jonesing for more drugs?
