I love you so much for this.

Also, much love to Ruckus for the Timmy T reference, and to MMII for including my future husband Ricky Bell.

and in 20 years we'll be talking about the stench left on current music by Autotune. I can barely smell the 80's stench over the steaming pile that is most current music. No one plays an instrument and, thanks to computers, no one needs to have a voice worth a shit. Ke$ha sounds like a meth head and has a singing career is all you need to know.

That's funny, because when it's all said and done, Kurt's not even the most accomplished figure in his own band. Of course, if he had stuck around...

I saw a bandmate once asked what Shannon Hoon would have accomplished had he lived to 30.

The answer was: "If Shannon lived to be 30, he would have been dead."

In other words, he was never going to make it there.

I think Cobain was on a similar track.

The real stars are the producers and song writers, no doubt. But the songs, for being pop songs, are pretty damned good. And it takes a lot for me, a dyed-in-the-wool alt-country and/or rock fan, to admit that.

Didn't Video Kill the Radio star about three decades ago. Guitar Hero didn't help either because no one was learning new music, and I tend to agree.

I never knew the members of most music groups growing up. I just knew I liked the music.

There is a huge difference between talent and celebrity.

    Now get off my lawn.
