You posted a bunch of song names as if that proved they were great songs.

And I'm quite aware In the Air tonight is from No Jacket Required.

I don't like Collins or Genesis after he took control. Sorry. You liking Genesis doesn't change my opinion that he wrote a handful of legitimate rock songs surrounded by bad synth pop.

Figures I'd run into Patrick Bateman.

Because your entire post couldn't have been more condescending and judgmental, regardless of how you tried to softpedal it when Sam told you you were wrong.

Oh, and I wish I had an ilk instead of a crew. I'm always two steps behind Fenian.

You are the most hypersensitive person on this board and have been for a decade or so.

    So I'll consider the source.

I have no idea what you could have possibly meant with that post other than: "Those songs weren't hits. How can they possibly be good?"

I am reminded of a Wilco song.

    Consideration for your fellow man
Would not hurt anybody, it sure fits in with my plan

I'm just sad that IJAG probably doesn't get these references.

A month is a very short time.

Billy Ocean ... starred in Serpent And The Rainbow.

A couple of observations since I last visited:

-- I can understand IJAG not hearing of some (many?) of those Phil Collins songs. Several are album tracks. But In The Air Tonight, I Missed Again, Take Me Home, Don't Lose My Number and I Wish It Would Rain down were all heavy-airplay hits. Some to the point of nausea.

-- Has D_B got his money yet from Whitney Houston's heirs? He seemed so engaged in her financial legacy, I thought he might have a stake.

-- A simple, respectful question: what is your favorite Whitney Houston song? I honestly don't know, because I wasn't a big fan, but that's weird, because even artists I'm not a big fan of usually have one song that sticks out. Whitney Houston's all kind of run together for me.

A guy I went to high school with posted on Facebook today that his favorite was "Let's Hear It for the Boy."
