Somebody is cashing in. Too bad it won't be Whitney's daughter, since mama didn't write or own any of those songs.

Dolly Parton can build another go-kart track in Pigeon Forge. Or buy a Van Gogh.

I thought I recalled from Michael Jackson's death that Billboard won't rank previously released material in its charts? That it wasn't eligible unless it is something like a reissue with new material. Am I remembering wrong?

Will someone watch the funeral with me?

Sorry to hear Aretha not participating, allegedly sick.

Memo to Boom, when I die, I want a giant black gospel choir.

I'm recording it, since I need to go to the Humane Society this afternoon before work at 5.

I just can't even imagine doing pbp of a funeral...er, home going.

A lot of big names play the New Orleans Jazz Festival, but if you ever go, make sure to spend some time in the Gospel Tent.

So amazing. So uplifting. Best thing you'll see there.

Sign No. 1,345,643 that my parents and I don't have a lot in common, I present my mother today, commenting on the death and funeral of Whitney Houston (whose music she loves):

"I just find it hard to have any sympathy for somebody who was a drug addict!"

Just a matter of time before one of these choir ladies passes out, right? They've been at this for hours, unless there's some cookies and water under those seats, someone is going down.

This guy seems like he's a flight attendant, pointing out the exits.

Lots of shuffling around as Stevie Wonder gets seated...did he just show up??

Also, everyone in the seats fanning themselves with programs, it's 45 degrees outside, can't they open a door or something?
