RIP Whitney Houston

I may give a listen, but holy crap is that podcast usually pretentious.

Hang Up and Listen is great and I usually enjoy the political podcast. But the culture one makes me feel like Alvy Singer on line at the movies.

 

Ha. Agreed. Self-consciously so, in fact. I've mostly switched over to "Filmspotting" for my movie talk. A lot more down to earth.

I'm going to put this in a way most should be able to comprehend. Love is where you find it.
Whitney was a cougar. She was five years older than Brown and was a Newark N.J. girl who could sing her heart out better than most.
I'm willing to bet that she didn't start getting high when she began dating Bobby Brown.

 

Crack is Whack

 

I do not agree with this.
She came from a church background. Raised in the church. Solid family.
Bobby Brown was from the rough Orchard Park projects area of Boston.
I do think that she was the bigger drug fiend, given he has been largely clean since they split.

 

First off, free base cocaine is crack.
I've heard some rumored stories about both Brown and Houston before they made it big.
Here's the bottom line: no one put a gun to her head and told her to get high. It was her choice.

 

What are these stories.

 

They aren't worth repeating, especially in light of her death.
