    Pete's not in the Hall because Pete was a jackass. There was no one who played in his era who didn't have the "No Gambling!" > "No Gambling on Baseball, ever!!" > "For the love of God, never ever bet on a game your team is playing in!!!" beaten into them from the time they played their first minor league game.
