Starman, what I don't understand is that given his track record, why does he still have a job? He must have something on his superiors. Most people who engage in that kind of behavior get fired. I fail to see how he thought Marinelli would find the question funny. The guy is on the way to being in the record book for the worst season in NFL history. Why would he want to be humored?

I don't know anything at all about his past columns. I was just judging him on this one and I think considering his apology this has been way overblown. The guy cut a joke that bombed. He apologized. Kill this thread.

if you do something this unprofessional and embarrassing and pathetic, you get your ass to the press conference or locker room the next day and show your face and have some fucking balls

Fredrick: Do you want us to turn a blind eye to this? Or maybe, just maybe, we can all pretend this never happened. Would that make you feel better?

I just think he apologized for a joke gone bad and all is well. It's the holiday season. Give the guy a break. People get too hung up on things.

So you are excusing his unacceptable behavior?

Yeah, we'll kill this thread about the same time we kill all your doom-and-gloom posts. Fair enough?

So that means all apologies, for all errors, are accepted and we go back to the status quo? Isn't that pretty much a license to disregard all social norms?

What if Mr. Parker's apology was not accpeted? I, personally, didn't sense any sincerity in Mr. Parker's apology.
So tell Rob to go fuck himself and ask him if his mother wished she raised a better man?

My guess is Parker is done at the News.

No, I may have a different take if he didn't apologize. He did. I for one think that's good enough. You want to fire the guy over this?? Ridiculous.
Shotglass you are starting to get personal. You might consider stopping it before you get banned.
