Hope the kid is OK, but anybody that rides a motorcycle without a helmet doesn't deserve any sympathy. It's a conscious choice he made. He knew the risks.

People shouldn't be too hard on the guy, because thinking you're indestructible is a common affliction of most young men. God knows the trouble I would have gotten myself in to if I was a multi-millionaire and the quarterback on the Super Bowl championship team two years after leaving college. I wish the guy a quick and speedy recovery.
