ESPN associate producer (on cell phone): Mr. Clayton, one of the Pittsburgh newspapers is reporting a 9-inch laceration to the back of his head, lost teeth and has knee injuries from hitting the pavement. Is that true?

Clayton: Yes, that's the rumor around here where all the media is gathered.

ESPN AP: Okay thanks (Begins typing) "ESPN.com's John Clayton has confirmed..."

When Ben comes back, will that make him first in line in the Jesus category for Madden? i.e., will he have usurped Favre?

Mitch Albom has a column in tomorrows paper about playing golf today with Roethlisberger  at Winged Foot pro am.

I would say well played, but Mitch hasn't been at a major golf event in years; not since he went to the Masters and spent the whole week bitching -- including one memorable column about how the poor black caddies of ANGC have been cast aside because the tourney allowed tour pros to use their own caddies.
It was such a tear jerker of a week that the Freep basically ran a page full of letters to the editor that had to go 10-1 against Mitch. He pissed the golfers off and they made him cry.

Now, if you'd have said that he sat down with an exclusive with Jerry Stackhouse on the eve of the Heat's final game clincher, it would have worked....

The guy in cami hat has the classic steel town outfit on. Only thing missing is an IC in hand.

He needs to gain 20 or 30 more pounds. And there's a hint of pigmentation in his skin.

I'm trying to figure out who wakes up in the morning and chooses a Terrible Towel t-shirt and a hunting hat to wear into the city.
