Well I can't speak about those but loved the Honeydrippers EP and wish Plant had done more of that. Plant and Bonham really drove Zep's great takes on old rock songs which can be found on many bootlegs

The Zoso album and first disc of Physical Graffiti for me was as good as Led Zep got.

They had a pretty amazing stretch from 1969 through Physical Graffiti.

Last great Stones album is "Some Girls." "Steel Wheels" is the last very good one (at least half the album is truly worthwhile). But a handful of great songs elsewhere -- "Under Cover of the Night" and "One Hit to the Body" in particular.

I think "Almost Hear You Sigh" -- the Keith song from "Steel Wheels" -- is highly underrated.

It is. There are several other good songs on there: "Sad Sad Sad", "Mixed Emotions", "Rock And A Hard Place" and "Hold On To Your Hat" which rocks like a bastard.

"Continental Drift" is a pretty cool tune as well -- nice tribute to Brian Jones's middle eastern influences 20 years after he died.

Exile on Main Street is often cited as the Stones' masterpiece. It is great, but I always preferred Let it Bleed.

I always preferred Sticky Fingers, with Let it Bleed as my second favorite. I love Exile, but for some reason it doesn't do quite as much for me start to finish as those two. I may even put Beggars Banquet up there with Exile -- the last 3 songs(Stray Cat Blues, Factory Girl and Salt of the Earth) back-to-back have to be as good as any three sequential album tracks as there have ever been by anyone.

I don't know if I've heard anything from the Honeydrippers project except 'Sea of Love,' which is cool.
Plant's album with Krause and his Band of Joy record is great.

The difference is, the Beatles never commissioned a song to be written for them.

John and Paul literally handed "I Wanna Be Your Man" to an appreciative and amazed Mick and Keith, who had nothing else in the works.

My favorite Rolling Stones songs are "Gimme Shelter" and "Paint it Black." That's the perfect explanation as to why I prefer Led Zeppelin.
