    'Mississippi Queen' and 'Black Betty' are great songs.
    I can't think of any other Mountain songs off the top of my head.

    The Doors are the most overrated group in R&R history -- borderline top 25 at best.

    If Morrison hadn't died, he and Billy Idol would be doing double bills at casinos and county fairs.

    I thought the Doors were pretty profound and awesome from the time I was about 9 (i.e., real time) until I was about 15, when I realized it was mostly pretentious poseur bullshit.

    They're still OK; as I said I'd put 'em somewhere in the top 30 or so -- but no way in the upper pantheon.

    You only thought of one, since "Black Betty" was by Ram Jam, a group which more or less evolved out of the Lemon Pipers of "Green Tambourine" fame.
